2018 marks the 20th anniversary of the death of British composer Sir Michael Tippett. In celebration of his life and music, the BPSE organises a series of lunchtime concerts in August at St. James’s Church, 197 Piccadilly, London (W1J 9LL), and lectures on the subject of Tippett’s work around these performance dates.
The series will survey the four piano sonatas of Tippett, each coupled with a Beethoven piano sonata and other pieces by various composers.
Entry to all concerts is free with a collection.
