24 July: Max Walsh, piano

Awarded first prize at The Liszt Society International Piano Competition and the Junior Wales International Piano Festival in 2025, Max Walsh will begin studying piano and composition as a Royal College of Music scholar in September. He is a new artist for The Keyboard Charitable Trust and Talent Unlimited, and is funded with the generous support of Dr K.R. Weir’s legacy through the Keyboard Charitable Trust.

Max’s programme will consist of works by Scriabin, Beethoven, Liszt, and Messiaen, exploring themes of spirituality and transcendence.


31 July: Michael Foyle, violin and Julian Jacobson, piano

Since winning The Netherlands Violin Competition 2016, Michael has performed as concerto soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, London Mozart Players and Münchner Kammerphilharmonie. He has given recitals at Wigmore Hall, The Concertgebouw and New York Chamber Music Festival.
His discography includes the complete works for violin by Ravel (featured in Gramophone’s ‘Record of the Month’) and a Beethoven sonata cycle (five stars in BBC Music Magazine). In 2016, Michael became Professor at the Royal Academy of Music, and in 2021 at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne.

Julian Jacobson is Chairman of the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe and a recognised authority on Beethoven’s piano music. He has given eleven complete cycles of the piano sonatas, five of which were “marathons” where he played the complete 11-hour cycle from memory in a single day. More recently he has developed a commitment to French repertoire, particularly Debussy whose complete 24 Preludes he has performed on numerous occasions. He was Head of Keyboard Studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and is now a professor in Birmingham and at the Royal College of Music where Michael Foyle, who gained a
double distinction, was his piano student.


7 August: Yuliia Humeniuk, classical accordion

Yuliia Humeniuk is a Ukrainian accordionist with a distinctive international profile, performing across Europe, Asia, and the UK. She began playing the accordion at the age of seven, graduated with distinction from Kharkiv National University of Arts, and completed
her Master’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music, London, in 2026.

A compelling advocate for the accordion as a contemporary and expressive concert instrument, she works across solo, chamber, orchestral, and interdisciplinary formats. She has presented solo recitals in London (2022, 2024) and appeared as a soloist with orchestra in Opale by Richard Galliano. Her work includes UK premieres at the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music, reflecting a strong engagement with new repertoire. Since 2022, she has performed at leading UK venues and festivals including the Royal Albert Hall (BBC Proms Youth Prom), Opera Holland Park, the Grimeborn Festival, the Deal Festival, and Shakespeare’s Globe, establishing herself as a versatile and distinctive voice on the international stage.

Yuliia’s programme will include works by Beethoven, Grieg, and Daken.


14 August: Elisabeth Tsai, piano

As the winner of the BPSE 2026 Senior Intercollegiate Piano Competition, Elisabeth will be presented with the Beethoven Medal by the Master of the Musicians’ Company.

Elisabeth Tsai is gaining recognition for her interpretations of the German Classical and Romantic repertoire. A major prizewinner at various international competitions (most recently the 2026 Takamatsu International Piano Competition and the 2026 Cambridge International Piano Competition), she has recently appeared in solo, chamber and concerto performances across the US, the UK, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Japan. She is currently under the mentorship of Ronan O’Hora and Richard Goode and is actively engaged as a chamber musician in the London, UK area.
