Sebastian Carrington is an enigmatic and exuberant portfolio musician renowned for their technical ability and exceptional musicality. They are not only a highly capable recitalist but also well-versed in choral directing and teaching. They began learning piano at only three, before gaining a place at the Junior Royal Birmingham Conservatoire at six, where they are currently studying under Prof. Jan Loeffler. They passed ABRSM Grade 8 with distinction at only nine, and they gained the DipABRSM for piano at twelve. They have been commended for their broad sense of musicality, especially in mid-romantic repertoire, alongside their fantastic virtuosic abilities. In 2022 they were awarded first place in the BPSE Junior Intercollegiate Piano competition by a panel including Enrique Graf. Alongside being a soloist, Sebastian is also a very capable chamber musician and has performed with various ensembles throughout their time at Birmingham.
